  1. Rates provided by Global Cargo Alliance Corp. are for transportation purposes only.
  2. Rates do not include customs clearance, duties, taxes or storage fees that may be associated with this shipment unless otherwise specified.
  3. In the event of any delay at the destination port GCA won’t assume any responsibility for charges related to it.
  4. Charges are based on information provided by the customer.
  5. If the shipment information is different than the one provided by the customer, additional charges may apply, including: re-weights dim-weights, re-classifications, accessorial charges, etc.
  6. Unless you specify insurance, your shipment will not be insured through GCA.
  7. GCA is not responsible for any loss or damage which occurred prior to or after the course of transportation.
  8. Past due invoices risk loss of discount, collection and attorney fees.

If customer wants to process a claim with the carrier, GCA will collaborate in the process. In case of denial by the carrier, GCA will inform the customer about the decision, but GCA will not assume responsibility. Please note that  Carriers are not liable for damages from an Act of God.


Duties and taxes must be paid before the goods are released from customs. If customer wants to receive detail on those charges, GCA will collaborate to get them. However it is not GCA’s responsibility if customs makes adjustments or changes and those charges must be paid by the recipient or sender. A shipment’s duty and tax amount may be based on product’s value, trade agreements, country of manufacture, use of product and the product’s Harmonized System (HS) code.

Custom’s authorities of each country calculate duties and taxes, and most countries use the CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) method to calculate duty charges. Since customs is an independent entity of GCA, GCA cannot be liable for any charges based on customs fees, including warehousing, exams, fines, among others destinations costs. GCA might be able to provide an approx. duties and taxes quote, but will not be responsible if any changes occur.


All cargo tender for transport is subject to inspection. Handling charges may apply except any special written agreement. After 5 months of the warehouse receipt date, GCA my upon written notice to the depositor of record and to any other person known by GCA to claim an interest in the goods, require the removal of any goods, previous payments of any related charges, by the end of the next succeeding month. If the depositor or its successor fails to pay the charges and remove the goods before the end of the next succeeding storage month, GCA may sell them or dispose them under the applicable law.

GCA shall not be liable for any loss or damage to goods, however caused, unless such loss or damage resulted from a failure by GCA to exercise proper care and diligence in handling and storing said goods. The limits of our liability under any circumstance is $0.50 per pound, with a maximum of $500.00 per warehouse receipt unless a set declared value is submitted to us prior to receipt of customers goods and charges for such value are paid through an insurance policy.

GCA is not responsible for any damage or extra costs incurred during transportation, loading or unloading of the cargo, unless otherwise specified or agreed in writing prior to the pickup for the merchandise.

GCA warehouse facility is intended for fulfillment and distribution purposes. After 3 months of storage ONLY, storage fee will be subject to change with prior CLIENT’S approval.

Warehouse receiving hours are from 9:00 AM until noon and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Monday through Friday. Rate per hour is $45.00 per employee, if any special handling will be required.

GCA commitment with data entry into Inventory system is up to 24 hours. In large shipments, time to generate data entry update will be subject to change depending on the amount of cargo received and will be notified to the client beforehand. Time to complete simple orders including case handling and light pick and pack is 24 hours. For more arduous orders, time will be 48 hours.(including pick and pack, case handling, scanning, inventory, etc).

If the cargo or small parcel received by GCA is not properly marked with our client’s name, GCA reserves the right to hold the merchandise for up to 3 months until the shipper, agent or client claim for it. If there are no claimant or responsible on the merchandise, GCA reserve the right to dispose it without any future responsibility.

Information, including personal information (name, address and phone number), provided as part of a shipping transaction represents a record of that business transaction.

Although our partners make reasonable efforts to limit access to their facilities and vehicles to authorized personnel, we are not responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information that is printed and placed in plain view on a package or letter.

The inclusion of any link does not imply Global Cargo Alliance endorsement of the external site company, its web site, or the products and services it promotes and sells. We might receive a monthly newsletter and the customer can unsubscribe at any time. Information will be kept in a secure server and will not be shared with any other party. Global Cargo Alliance does not sell, trade, or rent any information about specific customers to third parties for marketing purposes. This includes GCA account numbers, names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.

GCA is not liable to any person or entity for any direct, special, consequential, incidental, punitive or other indirect damages for any nondelivery, misdelivery, late delivery, or lost or damaged shipments. GCA will not be liable to you in case of resulting in prejudice with direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or other damages and/or extra costs. In case of any errors in or the use of or inability to use the carrier’s webpages, GCA has no liability for extracosts and/or damage for lost profits, damage of computer systems, lost data or any other kind of loss. GCA offers insurance to cover this liability and it is the client’s responsibility to ask for it and for approval. GCA do not cover the face value, replacement value, or additional expenses related to paper goods.

Email communications sent to individuals or companies from anything other than this domain “gcargo.com” are false and coming from a third party that is not authorized to use our brand, name or trademark. GCA does not accept payments through money transfers such as “Western Union”, “PayPal” or others. GCA does not accept personal effects and works with companies ONLY. Third parties intended to use the GCA logo, brand, trademark without written consent are being searched by international agencies. Possible collaboration from gmail.com/ hotmail.com / yahoo.com and other email providers are working to identify the IP address and location of the individuals in question. GCA is not liable for any expense incurred from others falsely using the GCA name. If you are being contacted by another email different than a gcargo.com email, disregard that email.
